Course Objectives The aim of the course is to evaluate the situations / individuals dealt with correctly by a lawyer and make judgments without ignoring the ethical values and to the ability to solve the ethical problems and to cope with these problems.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To be able to analyze the concept of ethics; the distinction between ethics and morality, value and value judgment,
  • Explain the concepts of value, values, principles, rules and standards.
  • To provide the ability to decide on ethical dilemmas,
  • To understand the importance of ethics and value knowledge,
  • To develop ethical awareness,
  • To be able to evaluate the philosophical roots of ethics of ethics as knowledgeable about Plato (Socrates' Defense), Aristotle (Ethics of Nicosia), Kant (Fundamentals of Moral Metaphysics) and Mill (utilitarianism).
  • To be able to explain general principles and concepts related to judicial ethics, public ethics and professional ethics and national and international sources,
  • To evaluate how the principles of judicial ethics are interpreted in the light of the national (such as the Judicial Ethics Advisory Board) / international sources, the structure and functioning of ethics committees, the principles of judicial ethics and the case-law of national and international courts.
Course Description Concepts of judicial ethics lesson, ethics, public ethics and judicial ethics, the methods of analyzing and evaluating whether a behavior or action is ethical, the historical and philosophical foundations of the ethics of ethics, the universality of the principles of judicial ethics, national and international sources, the Supreme Court Judicial Ethics The structure and functioning of the Board, developments in judicial ethics in comparative law, how the principles of judicial ethics are interpreted and evaluated by the high courts in the domestic and foreign jurisdictions and in the case law of the European Court of Human Rights..
